The performance of ethylbenzene dehydrogenation catalyst is comparable to that of imported goods. On December 13, the GS-12 ethylbenzene dehydrogenation to styrene catalyst development and industrial application test project jointly undertaken by Guangzhou Petrochemical and Shanghai Petrochemical Research Institute passed the appraisal. Experts believe that GS power system: special motor-12 catalyst is adopted to optimize the molding cycle time, and the comprehensive performance indicators of the catalyst have reached the level of imported catalyst, so it is recommended to promote its application

gs-12 ethylbenzene dehydrogenation catalyst began industrial application test in 80000 T/a styrene unit of Guangzhou Petrochemical in January, 2010. As of June, 2012, the unit has operated for 837 days, producing nearly 220000 tons of qualified styrene, with an average daily output of 262.5 tons and an average load of 103.3%. The results of industrial operation show that GS-12 catalyst has the characteristics of large raw material processing capacity, high styrene selectivity only after regular cleaning, high ethylbenzene conversion, good powdering resistance, long-term use of stable 1, high and low temperature impact testing machine, etc
